EX-NOR gate-
EX-NOR gate is an electronic circuit having more than two inputs and only one output. This gate is called by giving output of EX-OR gate to the NOT gate so that output of EX-NOR gate is nothing but compliment of EX-OR gate. The output of these gate is 1 when both the inputs are same. Otherwise output is 0. so these gate is also called as equality detector.
Applications of EX-OR gate-
1) Control inverter
2) Parity generator
3) Parity checker
4) Binary to gray
5) Gray to binary converter

NAND gate-
NAND gate is an universal gate having more than two inputs and only 1 output. These gate is form by using AND, NOT gate. The output of AND gate is given to the input for NOT gate so output of NAND gate is nothing but the compliment of product of inputs. The output of NAND gate is logic 1 when any one input is 0, otherwise when all the inputs are 1 then its output is 0.
Universal gates-
NAND gate and NOR gate are called as universal gate, because by using this 2 gates we can construct or build any basic gates like AND gate, OR gate, NOR gate.
NOT gate-
NOT gate has only one input and only one output. The output of this gate is is also called as inverter gate. When input to the NOT gate is logic

That is logic 0 and logic 1. the operation of logic gate is also based on passive logic or negative logic. The indication of positive and negative logic also depends on voltage level.

Concept of Boolean Algebra-
Boolean Algebra is a basis of mathematical logic. The essential features of Boolean algebra is that it has only two values that is logic 1 and logic 0. the 1 is called as true while the 0 is called as false. The number system used in digital electronics is binary while the Boolean Algebra also uses binary number system.
The different logic and logic gates are use to realize the terms of electrical and electronic circuits, so that to construct the logic gates active or passive devices used like diode and transistor.
